Atget and Contemporary Photography

May 5 – July 9, 2011

Leslie Feely Fine Art is pleased to present Atget and Contemporary Photography, running through July 8th. The exhibition explores the affinities and influences that Atget continues to have on a selection of today's leading photographers. Not limited to black and white works, the show includes photographs by Bernd and Hilla Becher, William Christenberry, Gregory Crewdson, William Eggleston, Lee Friedlander, Stephen Shore, Alec Soth and Thomas Struth. Spanning nearly a century, these comparisons reveal how much Atget's work has become an inherent part of photography itself.
